Kiosks4business promotes the Asian Network brand
We were asked by the BBC Asian Network to put together a complete information point solution, which allowed users - the general public - to get a modern interactive audio experience as part of the 2005 Summer Sounds Tour. There were three main objectives: promotion of the Asian Network brand, promotion of a new interactive medium, and to collect data on the styles and types of music their listeners preferred. We conceived, designed and built an entire system from the ground up based on an agreed specification proposal.

This enabled ten of the latest asian sounds to be previewed for as long as they wanted. The user then had to make a selection of three tracks, shopping basket style, and then move on to the checkout. BBC Asian Network were handing out free USB flash drives, and the user then plugged their drive into our front mounted USB socket, and the tracks were transferred for them. The user then took their tracks away to listen to at home. This approach had not been tried before and it was a new experience for BBC Asian Network. In concert with BBC designers, we developed a full acrylic based listening post, which combined a very colourful modern theme with a strong link back to traditional asian roots. The product is totally collapsible, and is used throughout the UK whilst they are on tour. Our twin approaches of intelligent electronic design and a strong visual axis made this product an outstanding success for kiosks4business.
