mykiosk is the core touchscreen computer system used within our product range. Known as a head unit, from the outset it was designed to be ultimately flexible such that it can be deployed in a very wide variety of circumstances.

Versions: Mykiosk is available to be wall-mounted, floor-mounted, desk-mounted or portable. We paid special attention to the depth of the machine for the wall-mounted and portable versions keeping it to only 75mm. The case is made from aluminium so that it is lightweight and portable. The desk-mounted and portable versions contain a Kensington lock so that it can be secured to a permanent fixture at site. The floor-standing version can be tilted and this, in combination with our wide-angle screen, means we cover the whole spectrum of people's heights for DDA compliance. Electronics: The core unit contains all of the electronics. The screen, being the primary interface with the use is a high brightness type with excellent contrast ratio and is digital end to end. the result is a bright and colourful image with digital clarity. We have made particular use of low power electronics with the ultimate aim of generating very low levels of heat. |  |
Heat is the enemy of reliability so our systems end up being ultra-reliable as a result of this decision. We generate so little heat that we've also eliminated all cooling fans from our system making it silent in operation and therefore suitable in environments such as hospitals and libraries. Of course, low power operation minimises CO2 emissions and together with our automatic power on/off control provides a sound environmental case. The mains version is designed for use in most facilities whereas our 12V variant is for use outside. Wireless network connection is standard.
Telephony: We embed the latest VoIP telephony to permit digital telephone calls to be placed via the optional handset. Calls are placed and ended using the touchscreen interface and the call is routed through the single network connection (wireless or cabled) so that there is no extra infrastructure to think about.

Machine Branding: From the start, mykiosk was designed for use with removeable/replacement front panels and colour-keyed keyboard and enclosure. The standard front panels we work with are based on acrylic with a digital backprint meaning the machine can be very strongly branded with colour and print. However, the mykiosk front panels can be produced with many types of material from wood through to metal sheet and is therefore very flexible.
